Netflix is launching a new cheaper plan that will cost $6.99 per month.
Netflix plan Basic with Ads, will launch on November 3rd in the US at 9 PM
They will offer it in 12 countries, with the first rollout in Canada and Mexico on November 1st
The basic with ads Netflix plan will also available in Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Spain and UK
Currently Basic has not supported HD quality, but they will at the launch of the ad tier, providing video quality of up to 720p HD.
In addition, users will not be able to download titles for offline viewing, and some movies and TV shows will not be available due to licensing restrictions.
The ads will be around 15 or 30 seconds long in length, ads will be shown before or in between shows and films. 4 to 5 minutes of ads per hour
All of the features Basic with Ads offers will be the same as with Basic, Standard or Premium plans
Only pre-roll ads will run with new movies, while longer ads will run with other content
The Netflix streaming service won't accept certain kinds of advertisements, such as political ads, issue ads, and tobacco ads
